Extracurricular Activities

My internship at Van Lang University’s Faculty of Digital Art & Design and Animation Department offered me an opportunity to explore how animation and digital media are approached in a university-level creative environment.

Throughout the experience, I gained exposure to creative and academic workflows involving 2D animation, visual storytelling, character design, and digital illustration. Observing these processes helped me better understand how artistic ideas develop into visual narratives, from the design of individual characters to the broader language of animation.

This internship also allowed me to reflect on my own creative practice and the skills I hope to continue developing. It strengthened my curiosity about animation as both an artistic discipline and a collaborative process, encouraging me to approach future projects with greater awareness of the techniques and decisions behind the final work.

Hoofprints was a Lunar New Year charity initiative dedicated to supporting students in rural communities through educational assistance, cultural activities, and meaningful opportunities for connection. At its heart was the belief that community support can go beyond financial contributions to create joyful experiences and lasting memories for young learners.

In 2026, the project brought the spirit of Tết to Cai Dau Secondary School through a series of fundraising and community activities. By selling homemade cookies and mobilizing community support, we raised VND 35 million to fund educational assistance and school resources. The celebration also featured a traditional Tết Fair, a watermelon-carving competition, a volleyball competition, and a cultural exchange night, creating opportunities for students to learn, participate, and celebrate together.
